Additives & Hyperactivity

Is there a link between additives and hyperactivity?

So is there a link between artificial colours and hyperactivity?

The evidence is contradictory. Many parents believe that artificial colours can trigger hyperactivity in children. On the other hand, many medical experts have not been convinced because carefully controlled trials have failed to demonstrate a link. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has recently funded new research on this complex topic to try to clear up the confusion. The work was carried out at Southampton University.
